Ear Candy: Foxes and Fossils, America's #1 Cover Band by Paul F. Caranci, and band member Sammie Purcell will take you on the musical journey of five fossils and three foxes. A journey from the humble beginnings of each member and the events leading to the formation of this American success story.

Perhaps it was fate that brought them together.  Five very talented musicians who, as individuals,  were at the cusp of realizing the dream of virtually every young band member - a coveted record deal with a major label. Some of their individual bands opened for the greats, Ray Charles, The Who, The Allman Brothers, The Turtles, and others. But they were now older, fossils if you will and though most of them still made good music as part of The Mustangs, that dream of stardom had become a fading memory.

Then a twist of musical fortunes caused a downward spiral in the band's activity, and that lack of work led to an experiment: the formation of a multi-generational band that fashioned a new sound. It happened with the addition of some young girls all around fifteen years old. These foxes' had angelic voices that produced the most beautiful harmonies the ear could behold.

Some ten years later, that new band, Foxes and Fossils, has taken the country by storm. In a very short time, they rose from relative obscurity to become a number-one YouTube sensation. With over seventy-six million views of their videos, and accolades from members of the original bands whose music they cover, Foxes and Fossils have gained hundreds of thousands of fans in over forty different countries.
